Mario Banushi (b. 1998) is a Greek-Albanian theatre director and performer whose work has quickly gained international recognition for its distinctive visual and non-verbal language. Born in Albania and raised in Greece, Banushi explores family memory, displacement, mourning and cultural traditions through intimate, highly visual performances that often unfold with little or no spoken text.
His works have been presented at major international festivals, including Festival d’Avignon. In 2026, he was awarded the Silver Lion for Theatre by the Venice Biennale.
His latest performance, “MAMI”, will be presented at SIRENOS on October 2 and 3.
The meeting is intended for young and emerging Lithuanian theatre and performing arts makers.
Registration open until September 25. Confirmation of participation will be sent by September 28.
